If it seems your day-to-day life is continuing to get busier and busier it can be hard to find time for yourself. You may be struggling to get a little downtime, let alone time to fit in a workout! If this seems to be the case you may find that early morning workouts may benefit you. Here are some of the positive benefits you can acquire from completing your workout before the sun rises:
Lack of scheduling conflict
Many individuals will find that small errands and tasks will come up later in the day. These can be family, friend or work related; all causing havoc in our workout routine. In the early morning there isn’t typically anything that will require your immediate attention or that can’t be pushed back past your workout.
Improved productivity and energy levels during the day
During a workout your body will receive a natural endorphin rush. This rush will give you a great energy boost that can last through the whole day. The morning workout will also kick your digestive system into gear allowing for better digestion, increased calorie burn and improved steady energy dispersion throughout the day.
Keeping more consistent = better results
Studies show that those who are able to work out before they begin their workday are much more successful in keeping with their program. If you are able to make working out at a consistent time a habit, your body’s time clock will actually signal to begin to elevate your heart rate to prepare for the workout before you even begin to warm up! It is a pretty amazing phenomenon that will make it easy for you to hop out of bed once you break-in the habit.
Studies show that typically those who workout early will have a better diet throughout the day. This workout and endorphin rush will give you the confidence and a great reason to eat well throughout the rest of the day.
